Licensed Physical Therapists
Patricia Boulet, PT, Cert. DN
Clinical Director/Physical Therapist
As a teenager, I worked on Saturdays assisting my dad, who was a family doctor, with his patients. I enjoyed working with them and seeing them, as well. I then did volunteer work in PT during high school and college and really enjoyed it. After seeing people get relief from their pain and return to normal function, I knew what I wanted to do.
I have always been fascinated by doing orthopedic rehabilitation. I see people get better quickly with hands-on, manual therapy. Now over 30 years in the practice as a manual therapist, I have acquired techniques that get quicker results. Staying focused on treatment goals, listening and paying attention to my patients’ needs and their own personal goals have always brought about success and patient satisfaction.
The Institute is a living testament to my PT advocacy and dedication to caring, hands-on and results-oriented physical therapy. Now entering three decades of fruitful existence, it cherishes thousands of patients who now live stronger, more empowered lives.
People throughout the Acadiana region know that we feel for our patients. They like the organized, efficient and personalized way we do things at the Institute. Best of all, they love our hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to return patients to their highest level of function and our care for people from all walks of life.

Taylor Fontenot, PT, DPT
Dr. Taylor Fontenot earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He then moved to Austin, TX where he graduated from the University of St. Augustine with a doctorate in physical therapy. Taylor began practicing as a physical therapist in Austin where he treated a variety of conditions with patients from diverse backgrounds. During this time, he pursued additional training and education through the completion of an Orthopedic Residency Program through Evidence in Motion. He has also been trained in trigger point dry needling.
Taylor enjoys treating and connecting with patients of all ages and finds it rewarding to assist individuals in regaining their function. His first experience with physical therapy was through recovery from his own sports-related injuries throughout high school. The most significant recovery was from an ACL repair of his knee. Those experiences have allowed him to relate to and understand the challenges and concerns patients face in their rehabilitation process.
Taylor is originally from Opelousas. In his spare time, he enjoys several outdoor activities including hunting, camping, hiking and mountain biking. His wife is a Registered Nurse and is a Lafayette native. Together they enjoy traveling and exploring new locations and pulling for their favorite football teams: LSU, UL, and the Saints.
Shelby Labbe, PT, DPT
My PT story began during my time spent at ULL. After taking a few Kinesiology classes, I fell in love with anatomy and understanding the “why’s” of how the body works. I searched for a field where I could help people with my knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and that is what lead me to Physical Therapy.
After my undergraduate career at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, I worked as a technician in an outpatient neurological clinic gaining experience with all levels of patient care. I was then accepted into Louisiana State University-Health Science Center Shreveport’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program where my extensive learning and training took place. Upon graduating, I accepted a position here at Boulet Physical Therapy and Wellness Institute, where I am applying my newly learned knowledge to provide the best patient care.
My favorite part about this career field is how much I learn daily. I learn from my colleagues and most importantly my patients. They have taught me so much about life and I could not be more grateful for this career that I have chosen.
